Flexible schedule to promote work/life balance Telecommuting in hybrid mode Group insurance from the first day Very competitive pension plan Generous holiday policy Personal days Employee Assistance Program Free parking Opportunity for professional development Summary This position is responsible for investigating acts of wrongdoing, coordinating security and Loss Prevention activities for all Stores and Distribution Centers within Metro Ontario Inc. Responsibilities Provide support and follow-up on internal investigations. Install CCTV equipment for internal investigations. Provide support to stores and D.C.'s concerning investigations and security issues. Assist with the implementation of Loss Prevention programs; retail store audits, DM meetings, LP shrink meetings to help stores control assets. Prepare, maintain and organize detailed reports for all internal investigations. Attend arbitrations and criminal court to give evidence when required. Maintain close working relationships with Operations, Human Resources, Labour Relations, and other functions within Metro. Liaise between Metro Ontario Inc. and Law Enforcement agencies concerning ongoing investigations. Qualifications College diploma or University studies (certificate) in Law & Security or Criminology License as a Private Investigator or in the process of obtaining Minimum 3 years investigator experience in a retail environment Knowledge of current surveillance and alarm system technology Strong interviewing and interrogation skills Good communication skills Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Flexibility to work staggered hours, weekends, evenings as required Ability to travel throughout Ontario On-call 24/7 Valid driver's license The responsibilities and relationships assigned to this role may change as is necessary to achieve Metro's business objectives.
