Your Role As an Industrial Electrician , you will be an integral part of our maintenance department, keeping our equipment running, including machining and shipping. Youll work with a wide variety of electrical systems, tools, and equipment, troubleshooting and ensuring they meet safety standards. Key Responsibilities Electrical Systems Maintenance : Install, test, and maintain electrical systems and components, ensuring they function efficiently and safely. Problem Solving : Diagnose malfunctions, locate breakdown causes, and resolve issues using both hand tools and advanced test equipment. Safety Compliance : Inspect systems and equipment, ensuring they comply with local codes and safety regulations. Collaboration : Work closely with the management team to determine the safety of operations and make improvements where necessary. Technical Support : Assist with emergency situations, including operating generators and providing on-the-spot repairs to minimize downtime. Manual Tasks : Perform hands-on work including running conduit, installing wiring, and lifting heavy objects as needed. Whats in it for you Weekly overtime (48 hour scheduled work week, Monday to Friday) $40-43/hr to start RRSP matching Company paid benefits Tuition reimbursement for position related courses Overtime paid out after 40 hours worked weekly Paid breaks Paid uniforms What Were Looking For 442A/309A AND a certificate of apprenticeship, OR 10 years experience with Canadian Electrical Code Must have your own maintenance tools. Must be able to work 12 hour biweekly rotating shifts, Monday to Friday (no weekends currently) Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent troubleshooting abilities, ideally with CNC machines Problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail. A proactive, hands-on approach to maintaining and repairing electrical systems. Experience Proven experience in a manufacturing and industrial setting. A solid understanding of electrical safety standards and troubleshooting methods.
