Overview The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking a General/Anatomical Pathologist to join its dedicated medical team on a full-time basis at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada. This is one of three full-time pathologist positions, serving a population of over 200,000 across northern and northeastern Saskatchewan. Practice Environment: The Victoria Hospital laboratory processes more than 1.7 million tests annually, supporting a wide spectrum of diagnostic services including: Anatomical Pathology Biochemistry Hematology & Coagulation Transfusion Medicine Microbiology The position is part of a cooperative team practice with colleagues in North Battleford, with access to subspecialty consultation services from Saskatoon, Calgary, and Vancouver as needed. The successful candidate will work closely with a collaborative medical team and participate in the undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The scope of anatomical pathology practice encompasses diagnostic evaluation of gastrointestinal, gynecological, genitourinary, dermatopathology, and breast specimens, including both biopsies and surgical resections. Job Qualifications Certified or eligible for certification in General/Anatomical Pathology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) Current membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) General pathologist or anatomical pathologist with experience with clinical pathology is preferred The ideal candidate is a team player, thrives in a high-volume environment, and demonstrates a commitment to patient- and family-centered care.
