Job Summary The Packaging Development Chemist is responsible for lab activities for the development of primary, secondary and associated packaging components for a large variety of liquid dosage forms including oral liquids, nasal spray, ophthalmic etc. The Packaging Development Chemist also provides technical support for issue investigations related with packaging components for SCMP and NPD product. Job Responsibilities Create and maintain test methods and SOPs relating to primary packaging testing Design and execute package related testing in lab and conduct proper documentation Coordinate the testing in 3rd party labs Perform investigational studies / testing on all new products under development and existing commercial products Development of process parameters and physical specifications for new primary packaging components Coordinate with packaging vendors for technical communications Performs all work in accordance with all established regulatory, compliance and safety requirements Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes Demonstrate behaviours that exhibit our organizational values: collaboration, courage, perseverance, and passion Ensure personal adherence with all compliance programs including the global business ethics and compliance program, global quality policies and procedures, safety and environment policies, and HR policies All other relevant duties as assigned Job Requirements Education: University degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Polymer Science/Material Science/Chemical Engineering or related science Knowledge of common packaging materials such as plastics, paper, and glass Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Excellent organization and report writing skills Ability to work independently without supervision Strong verbal and written English communication skills At least 3 years of experience in packaging or disposable devices within a pharmaceutical research and development environment Knowledge of GMP, GLP environment and requirements Experience working in laboratories and understanding relevant guidelines and practices We offer accommodation for applicants with disabilities as part of its recruitment process.
