Summary Provide engineering expertise on multiple customer programs. Continually optimize processes to repeatedly produce customer and new customers products ensuring cost, quality and delivery goals are achieved. Provide training to operations group and entry level Engineers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and implement processes to drive high product quality and cost reductions Manage and resolve technical issues with regard to product design and or manufacturing processes for both customers and/or suppliers Provide technical assistance on customer product specifications such as labels, programmable devices, test routines, quality goals, mechanical assembly requirements and product performance criteria Facilitate Bill-of material and engineering change order analysis Review customer ECOs to ensure that changes to products are properly documented and will not have any detrimental impact to product quality or production capacity Develop and provide product/process training to Operations and entry level Engineers Assist operators in utilizing the manufacturing execution system as required Participate in quality teams representing the engineering function and assume lead role during the new product introduction stage Review quality and product data to ensure conformance to specifications Generate and drive corrective action on all CARs Develop criteria for equipment calibration and preventive maintenance programs Generate procedures, Process Alerts, Purges, Deviations and other process documentation Generate DFM analyses and facilitate cost reduction initiatives with the customer and suppliers Assist in maintaining plans and models for determining plant capacity and manpower requirements Ensure materials meet quality and agency compliance goals Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience 5+ years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Certificates in related fields a plus Universal Instruments SMT Equipment knowledge a plus Must possess a strong background in system level, mechanical assembly, and/or SMT manufacturing environment Requires an understanding of computer aided/integrated design in manufacturing Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interfacing internally and externally with customers and suppliers on technical matters Demonstrate abilities as a self-motivated team player with ability to multi-task or email to #J-18808-Ljbffr
