Job Responsibilities Co-ordinate and distribute work to mechanics and electricians on your shift and ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner. Prioritize work by level of urgency, driven by production and delivery schedules. Ensure that work orders are completed properly by each technician for each completed job every day. Update your supervisor on significant information pertaining to any urgent situations. Communicate with the previous shift Lead Hand to ensure the next shift is fully updated on all significant activities. Communicate performance issues on team members (both positive and negative) to the maintenance supervisor. Monitor the condition of the parts inventory areas and enforce housekeeping in this area. Carry a cell phone at all times during your shift and respond to all calls professionally. Communicate with area managers, leaders, operators, and your team in a professional manner at all times. Ensure that preventive maintenance (P/M) is carried out in a timely manner and does not fall into overdue status. Attend weekly maintenance meetings and contribute valuable input. Carry out repairs to equipment within your field of expertise as required. Attend all other technical meetings and training sessions as required by management. Assist maintenance supervisor with planning weekend O/T projects and task appointments. Ensure that electricians and mechanics work together harmoniously and foster a cross-functional workforce by assigning tasks outside of their usual expertise. Be conscious of workload limits and prioritize/delegate accordingly. Complete performance appraisals for your reports, up to the level required by management. Lead by example with above-average work ethics and compliance to policies and rules. Operate in alignment with IATF 16949 quality management standards, BOS Procedures and ISO 14001; participate in continuous improvement; maintain 5S standards. Participate in training per the internal training matrix and perform all job functions safely and in an environmentally conscious manner, complying with health, safety, and environmental rules. Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications Experience: Minimum five (5) years hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. Industrial Trade certification, e.g., Industrial Electrician/PLC Programmer or Industrial Millwright; PLC Certification. Robotic applications and programming experience (Serpo robots is an asset). Experience on Krauss Maffei and Husky injection moulding machines (500-1500 T). Experience with roll-forming, robotic welding and automated assembly cells; mechanical and hydraulic press knowledge. Fluency in English, both oral and written; excellent communication skills. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic fundamentals, electromechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, electrical circuits, and basic computer literacy. Understanding of Statistical Process Control. Able to work with minimal supervision and under pressure. Desirable Additional Qualifications (Optional) Preferred but not required Tier 1 automotive manufacturing experience Compensation and Benefits Wages: $42 - $44 per hour.
