Overview Arobas personnel is looking for a DevOps Engineer for a contract with one of our clients located in Montreal. Remote : Hybrid- 100% Remote Canada wide, Same Time Zone (EDT/EST) As a DevOps Engineer , you will play a key role in designing, automating, and optimizing infrastructure and deployment processes. Youll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth software delivery, reliable systems, and a strong security posture. Responsibilities Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated pipelines for building, testing, and deploying software. Setting up and managing cloud infrastructure (VMs, networks, storage). Automating repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention throughout the software development lifecycle. Monitoring system performance and application health, implementing robust security measures to guard against threats. Collaborating with development, QA, and operations teams to identify bottlenecks and resolve issues, fostering a strong DevOps culture. Selecting, implementing, and managing DevOps tools tailored to different stages of the development process. What Were Looking For Experience working in large organizations (10,000+ employees) . 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer. Solid experience with major cloud providers (preferably Microsoft Azure) . Proficiency in scripting and automation tools for task execution and workflow management. Hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes). Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef . Strong understanding of operating systems and system-level operations. Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and work in cross-functional teams. Nice-to-Haves Experience in manufacturing, transportation, automotive, or aerospace industries . Background in international, multi-site organizations with operations across continents. Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices . Hands-on expertise with a variety of DevOps tools and cloud platforms .
