The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity to join BGO's residential rental community. Were looking for a passionate residential real estate leader to join our team. The Community Manager will lead the on-site team, drive exceptional resident experience, manage day-to-day operations, and oversee all operational and business functions of the building, including maximizing net operating income. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be a self-starter, have an aptitude for personal growth, and be passionate about providing elevated customer experiences. What You Will Do Operational Oversight Day-to-day property management with a focus on high-level customer service Ensure rents are received and recorded; process security deposits Pursue rental arrears; issue notices in compliance with Residential Tenancy Act Coordinate month-end duties, pre-inspections, and turnover of suites Perform regular property inspections and make recommendations Purchase supplies and coordinate services for the property Manage daily maintenance requests and work orders Other related duties as required Leasing Respond to leasing inquiries, conduct property tours, and follow up with prospective residents Maintain knowledge of unit types, layouts, amenities, and neighborhood services Conduct market surveys and identify pricing and strategy trends Resident Experience Promote community and enhance the customer experience Handle inquiries, feedback, complaints, and follow up accordingly Conduct move-in inspections and orient new residents Manage lease renewals with the goal of high resident retention Organize resident events to increase loyalty Leadership Lead, develop, and supervise resident services staff, service providers, and contractors Develop action plans and motivate the team to meet goals Financial Management Contribute to planning and budgeting, including annual budgets and variance reports Issue purchase orders and coordinate trades per standards and policies Operate within budgeted parameters Sustainability Set targets for energy, emissions, water usage, and recycling Engage residents and staff in waste reduction and recycling improvements Support BGOs culture of environmental sustainability and social responsibility Who You Are Experience: 3+ years in residential property management or hospitality; experience leading a team Education: College or university education in business or hospitality is an asset Relationship/Leadership: Effective communication, ability to collaborate with team, management, contractors, residents, and the public Organizational/Multi-task: Time management, ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities, detail-oriented Decision Making: Problem-solving with facts and strategic thinking; adaptable to change Computer Skills: Intermediate MS Word, Excel, Outlook; Yardi knowledge is an asset Availability: Flexible hours for month-end activities and emergencies Knowledge: Understanding of applicable landlord-tenant laws Police Clearance: Criminal verification required BGO is committed to equitable hiring practices and we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds.
