Overview The Liberal Party of Canada is seeking a Communications Manager for an opportunity to join a dedicated team of staff to support Mark Carney and our Liberal teams work to build a stronger Canada. Reporting to the Director of Communications, this role will provide key support and project management to the cross-channel communications efforts of the Liberal Party of Canada supporting communications products, media relations, issues management, digital and creative products, events, and a variety of communications projects across the organization. Lead the drafting and review processes for communications content and products, including for social media channels, digital engagement, creative communications, and our website. Support teams across the party to ensure message, tone, and narrative consistency. Prepare and track responses to media inquiries, respond to journalists, and monitor media reporting on the Liberal Party of Canada. Conceptualize, develop, and execute key communications plans for a variety of platforms and audiences. Support communications requirements for major Liberal events. Other duties as required. Youll need to have An ability to speak and write in both of Canadas official languages is required. A strong working knowledge of current events and Canadian politics. 2-3 years of political experience. Proficiency as a writer in both long and short form, particularly with regard to press releases, advisories, speeches, and other media materials. Resourcefulness and strong troubleshooting skills, and with the ability and judgment to make quick decisions. Strong presentation and communication skills, and experience with volunteer facilitation.
