We have an opening for a Commercial Insurance Advisor to join our Commercial Team working from our Glenmore office in Calgary, AB on a Permanent Full-Time Basis. Working for an employer recognized as one of Canadas best employers such as Kincentric 2024 What the Role Entails: To provide front-line customer service for Commercial Lines policies and take responsibility for the retention and account development of existing clients, quoting and placing new business as required. Servicing ongoing client needs, advising on insurance matters, conducting needs assessments, recommending solutions, answering inquiries, conducting care calls, and processing renewals Sell new policies/write new business to existing or new clients and retain the existing book of business Quote new business through outbound call initiatives, introductory letters, and walk-in clients Contact Underwriters and Adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for clients, issue insurance certificates, process changes, and review renewals Keep current on underwriting rules and workflow processes Actively participate in training initiatives Participate in community marketing initiatives The Successful Candidate Will Have: High School and/or Post-Secondary Education Previous Commercial Insurance experience is an asset AIC Level I or II General Insurance License Proficient in EPIC Proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook Previous sales experience is an asset Excellent customer service skills and adept in conflict resolution Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully Strong analytical and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to pass a criminal and credit check We thank all applicants for their interest, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
