Overview About the Opportunity: Our client, a well-established general contractor across Southwestern Ontario, is currently seeking an Intermediate to Senior level CARPENTER to assist their team in building post and beam structures, Pre-Engineered buildings as well as conventionally framed buildings from start to finish. This is a hands-on role ideal for a seasoned construction professional with a deep understanding of field operations and safety protocols, who has the ability to work in a team environment. Responsibilities General and/or finishing carpentry duties as assigned Quality control of the assigned tasks Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow all health and safety protocols and site regulations Work with cutting saws, power tools, reading blueprints, calculating measurements in imperial and metric Mentorship of junior employees Be responsible for all of the tools you use on the job site to ensure they are accounted for and kept in good working order Ensure timely completion of tasks and projects Be able to work independently as well as in a team Must be comfortable working at heights Qualifications Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience (example: conventional or post and beam framing. Pre-Eng building erection. Steel cladding installation and/or fascia, soffit and metal trim work;) Strong working knowledge of construction methods Whats in It for You $32 $37/hour Vacation Dental, prescription, medical Stable, long-term opportunity with a reputable contractor Year round work Supportive team culture and commitment to safety and quality Schedule Monday to Friday (50+ hours/week).
