Overview Type of position: Regular Your future role on the team As a member of the electrical engineering team in the Trail, BC office, you will apply established calculation and design methods when preparing plans, schematics, lists of materials, lists of cables, technical specifications and project estimates for a major regional utility client. The projects span electrical, automation, and instrumentation work, with emphasis on extending the lifecycle of existing hydroelectric assets in the area. Results-driven Thirst to learn and excel Constantly seeking sustainable and agile solutions Ability to see beyond established standards Rigour and ethical Ability to share and pass on knowledge Overview of certifications and job requirements Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Member in good standing with EGBC 1-2 years of experience in engineering as well as proficiency in reading and preparing electrical schematics of various types (single lines, three lines, and interconnection drawings) Available for short-term assignments Knowledge of MS Office and other database applications Ability to draft electrical schematics in AutoCAD Basic knowledge of HV/MV/LV apparatus and safety in electrical installations Asset: Bilingual (English and French) spoken and written Asset: Knowledge of power systems (HV, MV, LV) Asset: Knowledge of ETAP, EasyPower, CYME and EMTP-RV software Asset: Field experience in the hydroelectric or mining & metals industries Asset: Generation engineering experience Compensation and rewards Annual base salary, based on 37.5 hours weekly, between $66,300 to $81,100 Annual bonification program for all regular employees Onsite mobility premium Access to a time bank Cellphone Program Group insurance plan starting day one including short term and long-term disability insurance Pension Plan Vacation and sick leave Premium offer through the Employee Referral Program BBA considers many factors to determine the annual base salary such as, but not limited to: location of the position, education, relevant and demonstrated work experience, technical assessment, qualifications, certifications, and other relevant competencies.
