Position Summary The MV Product Manager is responsible for building, developing, and managing a team of Product Engineers focused on full Product Lifecycle Management of Medium Voltage Power Distribution equipment. This role supports multiple IEM manufacturing facilities. Key Responsibilities Build a department with primary points of contact (POCs) and subject matter experts (SMEs) for all Medium Voltage Power Distribution products. Grow the team by hiring and onboarding new staff; provide upskilling, training, and guidance for existing personnel. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and other departments to align Product Engineering activities with IEM strategy. Provide direction for product strategy and determination of medium voltage product offers. Align Product Engineering resources capacity with prioritized assignments. Ensure collaboration with vendors for product maintenance activities, including obsolescence and redesign; coordinate action plans with internal teams. Advance Product Lifecycle Management processes and tools supported by Product Engineering teams. Ensure industrialization and commercialization of new product introductions, including engagement with the NPI team and processes/tools supporting Sales/Estimating, ERP systems, and Operational Readiness. Routinely check in with staff to ensure accountability and timely delivery; proactively communicate delays or obstacles to stakeholders. Track, analyze, and report data regarding staff skills and department systems to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications Competency with medium voltage switchgear products design and manufacturing, including knowledge of standards such as UL 67, UL 891, UL 1558, UL 1008; ANSI C37.20 and NEC/CEC. Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to collaborate and work through ambiguity. Demonstrated success collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. Strong written and verbal communication. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word and Excel. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Minimum 4-year degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or related field. Minimum 5 years experience in the power distribution equipment or related industry, preferably with switchgear. Minimum 2 years experience in a leadership or supervisory role directly managing staff. Compensation The salary range for this role is $153,600.00 - $202,800.00 per year, based on location, experience, and qualifications.
