The Opportunity: McElhanney is currently seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Vancouver, BC . The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks to support our fast-paced Finance & Accounting (F&A) department. This is a full-time, permanent position. What Youll Be Doing: Analyzing financial data and performing account reconciliations at month-ends. Preparing working papers and tax schedules for annual audits and tax filings. Evaluating financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with budget/forecasts and preparing performance and trending reports with recommendations for managerial review on a monthly basis. Identifying and driving process improvements, developing and documenting detailed business processes and workflows. Designing standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards. Analyzing industry and macro-economic trends and projections and recommending actions for optimization. Mentoring and developing junior finance staff. Performing other responsibilities as required. What Youll Bring: Over 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst. Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications (Experience with Dynamics SL, Microsoft D365, SAP Concur is an asset). Hands-on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages. Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills. Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis. Excellent time management skills and attention to detail. Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving abilities. An analytical mind, good numerical sense, and the ability to learn new accounting software quickly. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and function effectively without continuous direction. What Can We Offer You? Hourly Rate : $40/hr - $50/hr. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individuals education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications.
