Overview Join to apply for the Molding - Operator Assistant - Shift D role at Polytainers Inc. Position location: Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada. This is a full-time, entry-level role offering exposure to molding operations and team development. Responsibilities IML Label Loading: Remove banding from label bundle; fan and load into the magazine; reload magazines as required; scan IML label received from WH with Job sheet to ensure the correct label is used; verify loading the correct labels as indicated on the Job sheet. Line Clearance Activities: Unload labels from magazines; bundle and count all labels, retrieve the barcode label, update the box with partial label quantity, and return labels to Warehouse; clear labels and molded product from the robot, platforms, and mold machine; follow line clearance protocols during machine shutdowns or mold changes. Inspect Product: Visually inspect trending tray parts for defects (when designated) and escalate quality defects or extended machine downtime to the Machine Operator. Documentation: Complete line inspection forms for downtime; complete line clearance checklists during product changes; ensure label quantities are reported accurately and complete forms for label returns as required. Development Of Machine Operation Skills: Learn machine operation and related policies/procedures; become familiar with startup approval processes and quality checks required by the operator. Adherence To Company Policies And Procedures: Never compromise safety; treat teammates with honesty, respect, and dignity; meet standards of conduct; adhere to 5S, HACCP, SQF and Health and Safety rules. Skills and Experience Educational Requirements: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Minimum Experience/Field: At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks Communication Skills: Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication Core Competencies Consistently ensures accuracy in all tasks, especially during label loading, product inspection, and line clearance; identifies potential issues early and takes appropriate action. Demonstrates proactive troubleshooting during machine operation and quality checks; escalates larger problems to the operator in a timely manner. Let's user quickly adjust to changes in production schedules, machine settings, or procedures; stays focused and efficient in dynamic environments. Prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting, balancing speed with quality.
