JLP Services Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Geotechnical Field Supervisor. JLP provides a range of Geotechnical Services, including but not limited to: Materials Testing and Inspection, Instrumentation and Monitoring, Shoring Excavation and Monitoring, and Foundation Recommendations. Please note that the position requires a minimum of 3 to 5 years of local southwestern Ontario experience. Role Responsibilities : Inspection, material testing, and sampling for various geotechnical and geo-environmental consulting projects involving small and large earthwork projects. Responsibilities include geotechnical and environmental sampling, soil testing, compaction testing using nuclear density gauge, subgrade inspections, rebar inspections, concrete testing, lab testing, and construction inspection. The Senior Geotechnical Supervisor will also oversee training, lead, and manage a team of field technicians. Qualifications : Civil Engineering diploma, preferably with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering. CCIL Certifications in concrete are required. Skills : Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing. Understanding of materials testing and inspection, road reconstruction, rebar inspection, and general construction practices.
