On-Site Ongoing Opportunity Posted 2025-09-10 Location: York Region Educational Services Address: 3100 Steeles Ave East, Markham, Ontario L3R 8T3 Summary Supports camp leadership by managing staff, ensuring camper safety, coordinating programs, handling admin tasks, resolving conflicts, and stepping in for the Camp Director to ensure smooth and positive camp operations. Description What youll be doing Support camp leadership: Assist the Camp Director in planning, organizing, and overseeing all camp operations and programs. Supervise staff and volunteers: Help recruit, train, and manage camp counsellors and support staff to ensure a high-quality camper experience. Ensure camper safety and welfare: Monitor daily activities, enforce safety protocols, and respond to emergencies or incidents promptly. Coordinate program delivery: Oversee the implementation of recreational, educational, and social activities, ensuring they meet camper needs and camp goals. Manage administrative tasks: Assist with scheduling, record-keeping, budgeting, and communication with parents and stakeholders. Facilitate staff development: Provide ongoing support, coaching, and performance feedback to camp personnel. Assist with conflict resolution: Help address camper or staff issues effectively and maintain a positive camp environment. Step in during Camp Director absence: Take on leadership responsibilities as needed to maintain smooth camp operations.
