Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements (often coming from Canadas major banks), support the definition of the product vision and strategy and work closely with the development teams to deliver winning products. Talk to customers, understand their problems, and help to define the solutions with the team to validate that were building the right things, and carry that through to the delivery and execution required for a successful product launch. This is a hybrid role with requirements to be on site 3 days a week, providing a balance between remote flexibility and in-person collaboration. Grade 16 About The Role: Guide story creation - ensure that requirements are well and consistently formatted and aligned with product strategy Prioritize backlog items ensure that items are worked on in correct sequence, respecting item value, effort and stakeholder expectations Accept stories ensure that stories are completed as per requirements before they are closed Support Architectural Runway prioritize architectural runway items alongside business items to support the technical objectives of the product Engage in requirements gathering activities Understand and represent customers and stakeholders and their needs Understanding market forces by engaging with Product Management Contribute insights and learnings from engagements with stakeholders and customers Solicit feedback from customers and stakeholders where required to make product and solutioning decisions Balance stakeholder perspectives and priorities to ensure implementation teams have a unified direction Elaborate stories where gaps and questions arise during the implementation phase What You Need to Succeed: Education: Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field Experience: 3+ years in product ownership 5+ years working in technology and with digital products Scrum or SAFe certified is a plus Skill requirements Knowledge, and experience within the financial services industry considered a plus Excellent knowledge of, and experience with managing backlogs for digital products Excellent knowledge of, and experience with working in an agile product development environment (scrum or SAFe).
