Overview BBA's Edmonton office has a focus in high voltage electrical engineering as well as wind, solar, and energy storage. The team is looking to continue to grow in those markets. As an Electrical Engineer in the Edmonton office, your role is to provide substation engineering capabilities to support wind, solar and energy storage projects. The role includes providing technical direction with owner engineer mandates and developing detailed design projects. You will leverage your expertise, knowledge of the industry, client relationships, and engineering experience to grow BBA's market share. Type of position Regular Responsibilities Develop project scope and equipment specifications. Review other project engineering deliverables and provide technical reviews to advise BBA clients. Execute technical and strategic mandates daily based on areas of expertise and in coordination with BBA's internal disciplines located across Canada. Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders in the renewable energy and electricity sector across Canada and the U.S. Review bid opportunities and provide estimates and proposals. Certifications and job requirements Engineering degree from a recognised university and registered as a Professional Engineer in Canada with electrical discipline; or a suitable combination of qualification(s) in a relevant discipline and applicable experience. At least 10+ years of relevant power sector/electricity industry experience, including a minimum of 2 years of wind, solar and/or battery energy project development, project execution and/or operations experience. Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Strong and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
