Job Summary: The Connected Product IoT Engineer is a new role within our IoT & Data Management team, supporting the Spirax Group Digital Strategy. This position involves developing and delivering connected product solutions across multiple business functions, collaborating with Product Owners, R&D teams, and Digital/IT teams. The IoT Engineer provides technical leadership in designing, developing, and delivering new connected products within the WMFTS portfolio. They work on integrating IoT/connectivity into product platforms, supporting both development and retrofit solutions. Responsibilities include designing data collection hardware and software, implementing data pipelines into Azure, assembling edge devices, and documenting designs for production. Experience with Azure data platform, Python, and agile methodologies is desirable. The role requires regular collaboration with other teams, supporting product deployment, customer onboarding, maintenance, and support, and ensuring compliance with global regulations. Travel may be necessary, requiring a full driving license and valid passport. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and release IoT-enabled connected products and systems. Provide technical support and leadership throughout the product lifecycle. Define edge capabilities, manage data ingress and processing via Azure, and support future-proofing projects. Ensure product compliance and support customer onboarding and maintenance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver products on time and within budget. Prioritize features based on impact, feasibility, and stakeholder needs. Skills/Experience: Bachelors degree in technical/computer engineering or related field. Experience with cloud software, IoT, coding, DevOps, and Agile practices. Proven experience with Azure IoT solutions. Knowledge of IoT functionalities such as connectivity, security, device management, data ingestion, and analytics. Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Strong understanding of current technology trends and product development.
