Job Description We are seeking a Firmware Development & Product Test Engineer to join our Embedded Firmware Development team in Calgary. Our team follows an Agile framework, designing, implementing, integrating, and testing software and system features. The responsibilities include: Design, code, support test and integration, document software/firmware solutions. Apply principles of computer science, network engineering, and mathematics to develop complex systems. Analyze legacy code and correct defects. Design and implement new functionalities in deployed systems. Develop capabilities for secure voice and data communication in complex networking environments. Collaborate with Hardware, Firmware, System, and Test teams to resolve issues and verify systems. Work with System Engineering and UX teams to plan and determine system behavior. Participate in technical reviews and develop product tests, including automation with Python. Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering/Science or equivalent. Experience with C or C++ programming (project work or internships). Experience with embedded firmware under Linux. Experience with Python-based automated testing frameworks. Knowledge of software configuration management tools. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Enthusiasm for learning and ownership of work. Applicants must meet security requirements, including Canadian Controlled Goods registration and security clearance eligibility. Must be eligible to work in Canada.
