Your role Assisting with the preparation and review of various Canadian income tax returns (T1, T2, T3 and T5013 returns) and tax election forms. Providing assistance to Partners and Managers on tax planning assignments. Participate in special engagements. Research tax issues and prepare memoranda. Liaising with tax authorities on audits and requests for information. Preparing and presenting technical sessions for staff. What you bring to the table Previous experience in a public accounting firm. A professional designation. A commitment to learning in a tax environment. Research, analytical and problem identification skills Good technical knowledge of GAAP requirements for tax provisions. Computer skills including Caseware and Taxprep. Strong understanding of a client-focused environment including organizational skills to handle multiple projects with conflicting time lines and the ability to work to meet those deadlines. Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Attention to detail and accuracy.
