About the Opportunity We are offering an early-career opportunity for individuals looking to build hands-on experience in aerospace manufacturing within our Methods Engineering team. This role is for final-year students or recent graduates from engineering or engineering technology programs who are eager to apply their technical skills in a real-world production environment. As a Methods Engineering Trainee, you will contribute directly to the planning and development for manufactured components for the DHC-515 Waterbomber Aircraft. This is a temporary full-time placement lasting 8 to 16 months, based in Calgary, Alberta. Key Responsibilities Assist in the development of manufacturing work instructions, drafting of digitized engineering data, and process documentation Digitize engineering data and support document standardization using 2D and 3D CAD tools Support the implementation of modern manufacturing techniques to improve production efficiency and repeatability Participate in the review and improvement of production processes in collaboration with engineering and operations teams Engage in hands-on tasks related to tooling, assembly flow, or process troubleshooting Contribute to technical documentation updates, engineering change support, and production readiness activities Qualifications Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a recognized program in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing) Strong attention to detail and documentation skills Enthusiasm for problem-solving, hands-on technical work, and learning in a team environment Excellent communication and organizational skills Must be eligible to work in Canada for the full duration of the placement Why Join Us Get hands-on experience with one of Canadas leading aerospace manufacturers Work alongside experienced engineers and technologists Contribute to meaningful projects that impact aircraft development and production Build valuable skills and professional relationships in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment At De Havilland Aircraft of Canada (DHC), we are committed to protecting our people, customers, shareholders and the public through Health & Safety Excellence.
