Our office in Hamilton, ON, is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. Summary of the Role The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for administering the company quality program in accordance with customer and company requirements. The QA Manager supports the Area/Location Manager by ensuring that QA programs and management systems are effectively implemented at the location and that personnel and products manufactured and fabricated at the location are compliant with E.S. Fox Limited policies, procedures, and processes, and meet all applicable code, standard, and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities Directly responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the applicable company quality management systems and programs and provides regular, updated reporting on their performance at the Stoney Creek location and associated field sites. Assist in development and preparation of QA manuals, procedures, and work instructions. Establish and implement procedures for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and safety, in collaboration with functional groups to define and enforce quality requirements based on applicable legislation, codes, standards, regulations, design, and customer requirements. Support, plan, and coordinate periodic internal audits and participate in external audits. Provide necessary documentation to maintain company certifications. Organize and promote quality improvement efforts. Evaluate and develop techniques for the control of quality, reliability, and safety. Ensure adherence to codes, standards, customer requirements, ESF L quality processes and procedures, and legislative requirements. Act as liaison with external parties on matters related to quality systems. Review contract documentation and specified quality requirements; develop or initiate inspection test plans and procedures. Monitor all projects using quality reporting systems and stay informed on status. Maintain clear communication to ensure information is freely shared on all matters. Interface with regulatory agencies and contractor associations for quality-related matters. Coordinate and supervise quality aspects of all projects in accordance with company policy and procedures. Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections as required. Provide training on quality management systems and programs for company personnel as needed. Remain up to date on required codes and standards that affect current operations and future opportunities. Ensure safety and environmental responsibilities are carried out in accordance with ESFL safety policy, ISO 45001, OHSA, and ISO 14001 requirements. Key Requirements, Experience And Skills Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Quality or Engineering, or C.E.T. preferred. Minimum of 8 years QA field experience in construction and/or nuclear environments. Knowledge of various QA codes, standards, and protocols. CSA W178.2 certified Level 2 Visual Inspector (W47.1 and/or W47.2 endorsements preferred). CAN/CGSB-48.9712 certified Liquid Penetrant (PT) and/or Magnetic Particle (MT) Level 2. Dimensional and Visual Inspection techniques. Knowledge of quality specifications, procedures, standards, and codes. Experience with ITP development for various code requirements. Experience with Boiler and Pressure Vessel fabrication per ASME and CSA standards; knowledge of ASME Section I, II, V, VIII, IX; B31.1, B31.3; CSA B51. Experience with ISO 9001, CSA N299, CSA B51, and related standards; asset if applicable. Experience in multiple QC disciplines (Visual, PT, MT, Radiography, Ultrasonic, Dimensional Inspections). Experience interfacing with external stakeholders (customers and/or jurisdictional authorities). Ability to read mechanical drawings (blueprints). Computer skills: MS Word & Excel for forms, spreadsheets, logs, and checklists. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
