Guelph, ON, Canada Position: Tenure-track at Assistant or Associate Professor The Department of Population Medicine within the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2025, or another mutually agreed-upon date in 2025. Qualifications: A PhD in Epidemiology, Public Health (or equivalent) or a medical degree (DVM or MD) with a thesis-based master's related to clinical communication. Demonstrated research and teaching experience in clinical communication (veterinary medicine preferred). A PhD (or equivalent) is preferred; a DVM would be considered an asset. Responsibilities: Work with the Veterinary Communications team to deliver communication-based curriculum across all four years of the DVM program. Assist in graduate teaching in clinical communications. Develop a productive, independent, and collaborative research program in relevant areas such as clinical communication, team-based veterinary medicine, social epidemiology, health management, or One Health. Additional Requirements: Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to develop networks across broad communities of experts and collaborate effectively with faculty from various disciplines. Record of scholarly activities including peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations. Ability to generate research funds to support graduate training at MSc and doctoral levels.
