Join to apply for the Senior, Environmental Project Manager role at WSP in Canada WSP has a new opportunity for a Contaminated Sites Technical Report Author to join our Remediation Program Management team based in Alberta or British Columbia. This opportunity will allow you to evaluate risk and advise on contaminated sites impacted by hydrocarbons (diesel, gasoline, crude oil etc.). It is expected that you are self-motivated and will demonstrate strong time management and communication skills. What you can expect to do here: Participation in a team environment, working closely with and supporting Project Managers and Field Technicians; Produce high quality written technical reports in support of large and small environmental site assessment, monitoring and remediation projects; Prepare Site closure documentation (detailed site investigations, regulatory forms); QA/QC laboratory data and generate tables; Compare results to site-specific regulatory guidelines and/or protocols for reporting needs for various Project Coordinators, Project Managers and Project Directors; Generate and QA/QC regulatory checklists, forms and other documents to meet site-specific project reporting needs under provincial regulations; Create, execute and revise work plans to meet Project Managers needs. What youll bring to WSP: Bachelors degree in a related field (sciences and/or Engineering); Minimum 7 years of experience in contaminated site assessments (downstream experience is considered an asset); Sound understanding of health and safety procedures in the workplace and a safety-conscious attitude; Strong field experience is considered an asset; Understanding of the Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba Environmental regulations; Professional designation is preferred; Experience in the oil and gas sector will be an asset. Preference will be given to individuals with more extensive experience with respect to soil and groundwater monitoring programs, Phase I and II environmental site assessments, site remediation, and provincial regulations.
