Overview We are looking for an Occupational Health & Safety Manager to join our Operations team. This role is primarily responsible for working with the Operations team to develop, implement, and manage the Occupational Health and Safety programs. As the leader of health and safety, you will provide hands-on leadership and training to staff while working towards OSSE certification. Position: Occupational Health & Safety Manager Reports to: Vice President, People & Corporate Base pay range: CA$85,200.00/yr - CA$105,600.00/yr Responsibilities Engage and empower the workforce around the importance of Health and Safety and provide support on the floor. Monitor, analyze, and implement effective occupational safety and health programs. Coordinate with stakeholders to deliver training/information sessions, manage risks, and develop safe work practices. Provide coaching and development to First Aid attendants. Chair monthly Health & Safety Committee meetings and facilitate Health & Safety policies and programs. Provide OHS support to operations, engineering and associated support departments. Provide monthly safety reporting, regular feedback on project status updates, and document incremental savings on WCB premiums. Ensure the completion of comprehensive incident/accident investigations, including root cause analysis. Maintain effective and progressive safety communication vehicles and coach team members on OHS policy and procedures. Manage WorkSafeBC related claims, Return to Work programs, create Training & Development standards and more. Introduce creative Safety programs to engage staff to help support company objectives.
