Job Category: Personal and Commercial Insurance Job Title: Commercial Insurance Advisor (Independent Business Unit) Locations Our office in Owen Sound is seeking a full-time Commercial Insurance Advisor to join our team. Our goal is to provide the highest level of customer service while maintaining a respectful and inclusive work environment. Job Responsibilities: Generate leads and referrals to build and maintain a pipeline of prospects Service ongoing client needs, advise on insurance matters, and conduct needs assessments Sell new policies and retain existing book of business Quote new business through outbound calls, letters, and walk-in clients Contact Underwriters and Adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy Prepare documentation for insurers and complete applications for clients Keep current on underwriting rules and workflow processes Actively participate in training initiatives and community marketing initiatives Requirements: High School and/or Post-Secondary Education Previous Commercial Insurance experience or at least two years of experience in Personal Insurance RIBO License or equivalent Excellent customer service skills and conflict resolution abilities Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to pass a criminal and credit check What We Offer: Flexible health and dental insurance benefits package Personal Spending amount for a healthy lifestyle RRSP with Company matching ESPP with matching aspect Competitive compensation package with bonus aspect Employee discount program Paid Time Off, including vacation, personal days, and volunteer days Beyond a competitive compensation package, we prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion.
