The Opportunity Our Nuclear subsector, a key component of WSPs ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) sector, supports clients in the nuclear industry. Our team offers a wide range of services, including technical and feasibility studies, project management, detailed design, procurement, site management, quality surveillance, commissioning and asset management. This division is operating at an exciting time as nuclear power and new technology solutions are developing globally, with Canada as a leader in nuclear refurbishments, nuclear new builds, incredible capital projects portfolios and a deep history in nuclear supply chain. WSP is currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer, Nuclear to join one of our Ontario offices. Several projects will potentially require travel to Tiverton, Ontario; Toronto, Ontario; Saint John, New Brunswick; Pickering and Oshawa, Ontario. What you can expect to do here Prepare detailed shop routings and identify required resources, tooling, and operating procedures. Resolve non-conforming conditions by assessing drawings, specifications, and quality standards; produce supplementary documentation and liaise with relevant personnel. Develop and support procedures for Fitting, Welding, Machining, Assembly, and Testing. Establish and maintain realistic time standards for shop performance and scheduling; conduct time studies. Maintain database of shop tooling, consumables, gauges, and records of past practices. Conduct pre-manufacturing reviews; identify and procure necessary tooling and fixtures. Design and draft tooling, perform design analyses, create rigging plans/sketches, and assist with equipment procurement. What youll bring to WSP Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Licensed Professional Engineer in the province of residence. 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or consulting environment with a focus on nuclear. Solid knowledge of Machine Guarding in accordance with CSA. Knowledge of ASME Standards and Pressure Vessel Codes. Knowledge and demonstrated application of Statistical Process Control tools and principles. Comfortable with common Microsoft Office software applications. Knowledge and demonstrated application of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles. Experience in the Nuclear industry. Experience with AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks 3D design software (or similar).
