Position: Optical Hardware Lab Technician Student Number of Position(s): 2 Duration: 4 Months Date: January 5th to April 24th, 2026 Location: Ottawa, Canada EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS Currently a 2nd-year candidate for a bachelors degree or diploma in Computer Networking, Technologist, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada. Qualifications Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are required Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment Strong troubleshooting skills, basic IP knowledge Strong sense of ownership and accountability Linux/Unix operating systems, installing servers, creating users, groups, and permissions Responsibilities As a part of our team, you will: Work with the Lab System Administrators to bring up the lab subnet in the new Network Infrastructure Lab Leverage Nokias central asset management tool for equipment inventory tracking (serial numbers, loaned equipment, repairs, etc) Troubleshoot various issues with network and equipment Find/implement ways to improve the lab #J-18808-Ljbffr
