We are currently requesting resumes for the following position : Real time Computer / Controls System Engineer Resume Due Date : Monday May 5, 2025 Job ID: 909-183 Number of Vacancies : 1 Level : Intermediate to Senior Hours: 40 Hours per week Location: Mississauga Work Mode: Hybrid 3 days at Mississauga and 2 days home office. Your role within the team: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company procedures and policies. Timely execution of the assigned scope in the assigned software project capacities. Performing the suitability assessment (and qualification where needed) of system hardware and predeveloped software components. Support designing, installation and testing of an assigned product test environment. Integrating software and hardware components and preparing software engineering documents such as test procedures, test reports, operation manuals etc. Implementing and maintaining key project support systems (i.e., configuration management, document management and change control systems) for DCC Replacement Project Supporting the selection and qualification of Control Systems hardware. Assist on preparing validation tests and/or review the results of the validation testing. Responsible for change control Using configuration management system provided by his/her department to maintain software files, release and documentation. Preparing and maintaining work plans for the control software change activities. Support OPEX Review Assembling OPEX and assessing what changes should be incorporated in the future designs. Report and suggest resolution to any potential impacts to technical quality identified by the various Computer System manufactures and vendors. Ensure all work activities are performed safely, in collaboration with the Project Safety Manager. Qualifications: Engineering degree (Electrical, Control, Software) from an accredited university. Minimum 5 to 8 years relevant work experience. Computer programming experience Engineering drawings interpretation. Engineering Change Control knowledge. Computer proficiency Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook. Analytical ability and effective decision making. Excellent organizational skills.
