Position Title: Senior Consultant Full-time (Remote) Scout Engineering & Consulting Ltd. Position Overview Scout is a 100% Indigenous-owned and led professional services firm that braids Indigenous Knowledge with engineering, planning, and strategy to create systemic change in infrastructure and social outcomes. We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with significant consulting, governance, infrastructure, or community planning experience who is ready to take a leadership role in project delivery and client relationships. The Senior Consultant will be a trusted advisor to clients, leading components of Scouts Nation Building Services while mentoring junior team members and contributing to business development. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership Lead design and delivery of Nation Building projects, including governance frameworks, infrastructure planning, fiscal systems, and policy development. Manage project teams, budgets, timelines, and client deliverables. Ensure quality and cultural integrity in all deliverables, applying Indigenous-first approaches. Oversee project reporting, compliance, and risk management. Client & Community Engagement Serve as a key client contact, building long-term relationships with Indigenous governments and community partners. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and engagement sessions with confidence and respect. Provide strategic advice rooted in Indigenous Knowledge and best practices in governance and infrastructure. Business Development Lead proposal development and RFP responses. Identify and pursue new opportunities aligned with Scouts Nation Building Services. Build partnerships with Indigenous businesses, governments, and industry partners. Team & Knowledge Leadership Mentor junior and intermediate staff, supporting their professional growth. Contribute thought leadership to Scouts methodologies, tools, and Nation Building frameworks. Take initiative on internal projects that strengthen Scouts capacity and innovation. Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree required; Masters degree in public administration, Indigenous studies, business, engineering, planning, or related field preferred. Experience: 6+ years of professional experience, ideally in consulting, Indigenous governance, infrastructure, or policy advisory. Skills: Strong project management and leadership abilities. Advanced writing and communication skills, including presenting to senior decision-makers. Proven ability to manage complex projects and diverse stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools. Attributes: Deep commitment to reconciliation and Indigenous self-determination.
