Position Overview The Technical Services Representative plays a key role in event and warehouse operations by setting up, operating, and dismantling audiovisual equipment. The position requires transportation, staging, and handson service at trade shows, hotel conventions, and other events. Additional responsibilities include reporting, client representation, and, when required, acting as Lead TSR coordinating a team of technicians and freelancers. Key Job Responsibilities Setting up, operating, and dismantling audiovisual equipment at assigned events. Servicing trade shows, hotel conventions, and staging events. Verifying completed purchase orders and ensuring all required equipment is prepared. Loading and unloading trucks, including lifting heavy equipment. Climbing stairs and ladders for event setup. Performing control testing and troubleshooting equipment before events. Sitting for lengthy periods to operate equipment in meeting rooms (fourhour stretches lasting all day). Walking during trade shows. Driving defensively cube vans and panel vans. Driving long distances or acting as a passenger on longdistance trips. Handling equipment with care. Completing reports on events per company procedure. Representing the Company in a professional manner. Acting as Lead TSR, coordinating a team of TSRs and freelancers, and serving as the onsite resource for the client and operations department. Performing other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications High school diploma combined with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position or a postsecondary diploma in a relevant domain. 23+ years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred. 23+ years of audiovisual experience is required. Setup knowledge of the following equipment is required: portable sound systems (speakers, mixers, equalizers), wireless microphones, audio cassette and CD players, LCD data projectors and monitors, computer interfaces and switchers, Betacam and VHS players, large projection screens and scaffold towers, industrial video cameras, video lighting equipment, simultaneous translation equipment, Fastfold screens, cameras, riser/staging. Strong client service and interpersonal skills. Professional appearance and behavior. Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines. Analytical and problemresolution skills. Organizational skills.
