We are looking for a Safety Manager (Regions 1 & 2) to join our fast-paced, energetic company working out of any of those regions locations (Shaunavon, Maple Creek, Swift Current, Kyle, Leader, Kindersley, Unity, North Battleford).As Safety Manager you will play an essential role in building and supporting the safety programs/policies and culture in our Western locations. You will deliver quality work in a friendly and collaborative environment that encourages learning and growth.You will:Direct and perform all facets of incident reporting, investigation, implement post-injury follow-up procedures, and prevention of incident recurrenceMaintain the companys Health and Safety Program, ensuring all regulations are metConduct safety training and maintain records for forklift, overhead crane, operator, payloader, safety orientations, first aid, and other safety coursesLiaise with health and safety regulatory authorities (MSA, WCB), and assist Payroll (benefits) department with return-to-work processesMonitor OH&S meetings and complianceProvide reporting on health and safety activities, workplace injuries, implement corrective action, and develop preventative measuresConduct comprehensive hazard assessments and formal site inspections, maintain site logs of inspections, infractions, and mitigating measuresCoordinate and track fire drillsDevelop and maintain safety standard operating proceduresCollaborate with Human Capital and Training departments on business initiatives (safety training, onboarding, policies)You have:5+ years in a safety-related roleAbility to lead by example and motivate othersExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsExperience developing and presenting training materialsKnowledge/familiarity with ag industry or industrial settingDiploma, degree, or certification in health and safety, Canadian Registered Safety Professional Designation preferredOccupational Health & Safety Practitioner is desiredEmergency Preparedness and first aidLegislation/regulation knowledge within Saskatchewan and ManitobaKnowledge of WCB processes, safe work practices for operation of equipment, site safety and housekeepingWillingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed, valid drivers license requiredYou are:Results-oriented, strong work ethic, customer focusedSelf-aware with high level of Emotional Intelligence (EQ)Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsStrong on computer and internet applications (MS office suite)Successful in fast-paced, high-growth environmentSelf-starter with minimal supervision requiredCONNECT with us today!Whether you're new to this field or experienced in other related fields, we offer continued education and training to help you thrive and expand your knowledge!
