Dental Assistant at McAllister Dentistry Ottawa We were voted Ottawas Top Choice Dental Clinic for 2023, 2024 and 2025. We are now hiring a Dental Assistant to join our growing team and work with Dr. McAllister and our associate dentists. We are a privately owned clinic that offers the latest dental technology, including iTero digital scanning, GBT Airflow for hygiene, Adec dental chairs, and automated sterilization equipment. We also provide Botox and lip filler treatments for cosmetic patients. Paid continuing education, performancebased rewards/bonuses and medical benefits are part of the package. The ideal candidate will have a passion for exceptional patient care and will support the dental team in a vital role. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared. Take and develop dental radiographs (Xrays) as required. Explain procedures, answer questions and address any patient concerns. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Sterilize instruments and comply with infection control protocols. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. Support front desk operations as needed, handling phone calls and patient inquiries. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow. Skills Proficiency in Dental Assisting techniques and practices. Experience or knowledge of Digital Dentistry is highly desirable. Competence in using ClearDent or similar dental practice management software. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages. Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist is a plus.
