Join EY and help to build a better working world.The opportunityThe Assistant Director, Strategy & Operations supports the development and execution of go-to-market plans for Industry Group and sectors. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, pipeline integrity, and margin improvement across diverse market segments. The Assistant Director works directly with IGL and Private Leadership, including sector leaders, service line leaders, and account GCSPs, to enable an integrated, client-centric growth strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesEnable growth: Facilitate annual strategic planning for specific Industry Groups and sectors, collaborating with stakeholders across service lines, finance, alliances, accounts, business development, and markets to develop and execute strategic priorities.Project manage strategic growth initiatives within the Industry Group and sector plans, leading cross-functional teams (including BCM and other stakeholders) to deliver programs and campaigns that drive market impact.Cascade account management best practices to GCSPs for a portfolio of replenishment and top-end core accounts, promoting cross-sector teaming and value creation.Support execution of the Client Experience (CX) program in partnership with CX and BD teams, ensuring high-quality client interactions and feedback loops.Champion account reviews for Industry Group & Sector, ensuring regular cadence, stakeholder engagement, and actionable outcomes.Data literacy & decision supportAnalyze and interpret data (revenue, sales, pipeline, forecasting) to support leadership meetings and decision-making. Recommend corrective actions based on data insights.Track BD/Marketing investments and perform variance analysis to optimize profitability.Modernize reporting outputs by adopting innovative tools and practices, ensuring consistent use and interpretation of performance KPIs.Collaboration & process optimizationPromote IG & sector communities, recommending strategies to engage teams around growth culture and sector-led initiatives.Connect with global and Americas resources, leveraging thought leadership and best practices for Canadian clients.Serve as primary point of contact for IG/sector inquiries, acting as a connector across functions (including BCM, marketing, finance, HR, etc.).Participate in Canada Markets Strategy & Operations Community, contributing to key priorities, initiatives, and governance.Elevate and drive consistency of leading practices across sectors/accounts, collaborating with PPEDs and client executives to standardize frameworks and close performance gaps.What we look forDemonstrate strong data literacy: Ability to interpret, communicate, and leverage data for strategic decision-making.Cross-team collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with BCM and other stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment.Interest in operations and sector learning: Enthusiasm for operational excellence and a desire to learn about both Core and Private sectors.Adaptability and growth mindset: Willingness to embrace change, innovate, and continuously improve processes.Professional proficiency in English is required; bilingualism in French and English is an asset.What we offerThe EY benefits package is designed to support your physical, emotional, financial, and social wellbeing.
