Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting, Corporate Accounting (Vancouver) A CPA designation Responsibilities Manage the process for the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with ASPE, IFRS and US GAAP, including financial analysis, taking a role in both preparation and review of such statements. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting packages for standalone entities and consolidated groups. Lead in the preparation of accounting analysis over complex transactions, ensuring transactions are accurately reflected within the general ledger. Lead initiatives to standardize, document and implement accounting policies, including application of new accounting pronouncements. Provide leadership over external audits. Develop and implement financial reporting strategies to modernize reporting and improve processes. Lead initiatives to strengthen internal controls over financial reporting, especially as it relates to financial statement preparation and technical accounting analysis. Act as a point of contact for financial reporting queries from internal and external partners. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience working within financial and/or technical reporting for a large, complex organization. Experience preparing consolidated, multi-currency financial statements and technical accounting analysis. A CPA designation. Strong understanding of ASPE and IFRS, experience with REALpac (an asset). Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with Yardi. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Great people skills, able to relate well to others and state your case.
