Job Description

Overview Our client, a leading cosmetics manufacturer in Markham, is looking for an HR Coordinator to join their team. Job Details Job Type: Contract Work Schedule: 5 days a week (8:30am to 4:30pm), with one early start (5:00am to 1:00pm) per week; Contract ends by the end of Feb 2026. Pay rate: $23/hr Responsibilities Onboarding tasks (new hire orientations) Respond to general employee inquiries (in person, email, or phone) in a timely manner; support HRBP Generalists with resolution of employee concerns Support transactional requests (inputting) into One Source HR system Ability to communicate with various levels within the organization (Shop floor employees, Managers) Ability to handle and follow through on ad hoc requests Supporting the HR team with fostering a culture of positive employee relations and engagement. Generating HR metrics to identify trends and support workforce planning. Supporting the HR department administratively as required. Qualifications Manufacturing/Distribution experience preferred A proactive, go-getter attitude with the ability to navigate a production floor Strong Excel skills, as the role will involve reporting and working with large data sets (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) Good communication and time management skills Strong organizational and prioritization skills a must. High learning agility, strong capability for problem-solving, data analytic & decision making and comfortable with ambiguity. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while exhibiting tact, good judgment, diplomacy and flexibility. Criminal background check is required We are an equal opportunity employer.
