Overview Our client, a long-standing trusted and continually growing group in Halifax, is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their team. This permanent role is ideal for a detail-focused and organized individual who enjoys working hands-on in a collaborative finance setting. Key Responsibilities Provide accounting strategic planning and analytical support Assist with financial analysis, budget preparation and reporting Oversee and ensure accuracy of account reconciliations Prepare and review journal entries Regulatory reporting and tax filings Month-end close activities Working papers for year-end audits Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed Experience & Attributes for Success Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation currently in progress or near completion 5 years of relevant and progressive accounting experience Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Excel and other Office tools Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Strong time management and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Professional judgment and commitment to confidentiality Team-oriented mindset and willingness to support evolving processes If interested in this opportunity please apply online by clicking the Apply Now button.
