Intermediate Accounts Payable Specialist ABC Recycling Ltd. is one of the largest locally owned and operated metal recyclers in Western Canada, established in 1912. ABC Recycling Ltd. is seeking an Intermediate Accounts Payable Specialist to be based out of our head office in Burnaby, B.C. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Accounts Payable to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate processing of invoices and payments. Base pay range CA$60,000.00/yr - CA$70,000.00/yr Responsibilities Prepare weekly payment runs for EFT/wire/bill payment/cheque. Monitor Concur unsubmitted invoices and distribute to appropriate staff for review and approval. Review and process payment for employee expense reports from all yards. Process intercompany transactions applying and posting to A/P and A/R. Maintain communication with vendors to ensure any issues are addressed and resolved quickly. Meet deadlines by assisting in timely closure of AP function for month end/year end purposes. Qualifications 3-4 years of AP including experience in a fast-paced environment. Experience working collaboratively in a team of 4+ people. Experience with an Accounting System or ERP (Sage, GP, etc). Intermediate Excel - pivot tables, basic formulas. Must have beginners knowledge of accounting fundamentals. Strong communication dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
