Join West Fraser as a Maintenance Supervisor in our Grande Prairie, Alberta OSB facility. West Fraser is a diversified wood products company with over 60 facilities worldwide. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will provide safety leadership, technical direction and supervision of the Mechanical Maintenance Team. Responsibilities Ensure a safe work environment by coaching safe work practices, participating in safety observations & incident reviews, training & development and enforcing safety expectations. Build and develop the team, building relationships based on trust, caring and integrity. Collaborate with operations, project development & planning, quality and procurement teams to effectively maintain mill equipment. Participate in fullcycle capital project planning, installation and review for equipment maintenance. Coordinate preventative & predictive maintenance programs to achieve uptime targets. Respond to changing priorities and operating conditions to meet business needs. Qualifications Certified Millwright with 5+ years of manufacturing experience; forest product experience preferred. Strong commitment to safety and ability to coach safety expectations. Innovative leadership and mentorship skills. Strong mechanical aptitude with problem solving, planning and organizational skills. Experience with mobile equipment maintenance is a strong asset. Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficient computer skills. The Maintenance Supervisor must be capable of working in an OSB manufacturing environment that includes exposure to noise, temperature variances, heights, stairways and grated elevated walkways, confined spaces, odors and the physical ability to travel through the facility and lift / carry reasonable weights.
