Overview The Finance Administrative Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daytoday operations of the finance administration team. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting and finance operations, along with leadership capabilities to guide a team and improve workflow efficiency. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the finance administration team, providing guidance and support to ensure departmental goals are met. Supervise accounts receivable functions and subcontractor AP process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. Continuously seek ways to improve processes, enhance efficiencies, and reduce costs within the finance department. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to streamline financial processes and drive continuous improvement. Monitor and analyze metrics to identify areas for optimization and cost savings. Handle inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding financial matters. Prepare and present reports on financial performance and key metrics to senior management. Enhance employee performance quality by setting clear objectives, monitoring progress, providing timely feedback, identifying training needs, coaching and mentoring staff within the department, and participating in annual performance reviews. Daytoday supervision of staff; managing workloads, vacation coverage, performance and training. Share the workload with the team on a daily basis, which involves tasks such as processing invoices, payroll review and resolving discrepancies and assisting with monthend closing activities. Review and approving invoicing when required. Assist in implementing and maintaining strong internal controls, which includes establishing clear, consistent processes and documentation. Assist in internal and external audit requests. Serve as the primary point of escalation for the team and provide backup support for all functions as needed. Qualifications A diploma or degree in Accounting or Business is preferred. Proven experience in payroll and accounts receivable roles with 5 years of experience, supplemented by at least 2 years in a leadership position. Experience in a publicly traded company is preferred. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Effective communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and vendors. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment. Ability to develop and implement efficient processes to drive change and improve departmental performance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate a team. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
