Sports Centre Programmer (Interim) Full-Time (40 Hrs/Week) One-year term Location: Strathmore, AB Town of Strathmore is hiring! Comprehensive health and dental coverage, mental health benefits, and wellness account Vacation starts at 3 weeks plus 3 additional days off at year-end Free use of Strathmore's recreation facilities, including pools, arena, fitness centre, and walking track Access to the Town's Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) $2,000.00/year toward mental health benefits and $600.00/year Health or Wellness Account What You'll Do Reporting to the Sports Centre Manager, the Sports Centre Programmer is a customer-service-oriented individual responsible for scheduling and promoting all activity spaces, meeting rooms, and events in the Strathmore Motor Products Sports Centre. The programmer contributes to the operations of a multi-purpose facility by coordinating daily operations of athletic spaces, gymnasiums, athletic fields, and meeting rooms. The programmer ensures facility booking details are managed efficiently in accordance with facility procedures. The programmer serves as the main point of contact for user groups of the facility and may also support scheduling and coordination of other Town of Strathmore athletic and community facilities. Successful Applicants Will Demonstrate A degree or diploma in Sports Management, Facilities Management, Athletics, Business Administration, or a related field Two to three years of work experience in a related field Group fitness certification in good standing with Canfit Pro, AFLCA, or equivalent (preferred) Working knowledge of recreation scheduling software (Xplor Recreation) is preferred Key Competencies Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work activities with minimal supervision Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while respecting deadlines Excellent interpersonal, supervisory, customer service, and public relations skills Knowledge of event management and risk management Familiarity with guidelines for childrens programs and requirements for fitness instructors Application Please submit a cover letter and completed resume quoting Competition TOS2025-19 to: View email address on ca.edajobs.com.
