Job Responsibilities Perform trailer switches, including hooking and moving trailers to and from yard and load/unload doors. Coordinate trailer movements with management or central control. Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards. Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment. Follow safety procedures for yard switching. Assist with package handling, including loading, unloading, and sorting packages. Use appropriate methods and tools for package handling. Sort packages based on labels and scanning. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Education None required Minimum Experience No experience required; 6 months of package handling or CDL experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Valid drivers license and DOT file. Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures. Ability to read, understand, and sort packages correctly. Proficiency with tools and equipment like scanners and carts. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team. Work Conditions May work in hot, cold, noisy, or fume-filled environments. Additional Qualifications Candidates should be bilingual (French and English) if working in Quebec. For driving positions, a valid license (e.g., Class 5, G, AZ) and a clean driving record are required.
