Job Summary The Coordinator, Production Containers (CPC) is responsible for performing tote inspection and assembly tasks according to GMP procedures, maintaining the operation of the tote washer in good working condition, disassembling dirty totes, loading totes and other racks on the inbound conveyor, cleaning material handling equipment and providing tote handling services to the 150 Signet manufacturing facility, performing shift start inspections and assisting in maintenance of material handling systems, contributing to the Apotex 2010 Strategic Plan and working in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety policies and safe work procedures. Responsibilities Yield Check System and tote, bottle tote and pallet movement processes Clean totes used to contain WIP and dirty totes received from packaging Manual transfer of material from and to the tote assembly area Pre-shift inspection of automated material handling systems and equipment Daily calibration checks of all scales in the coating area Accuracy of location inventory system reflecting WIP inventory Liaison between logistics and packaging or production operators for automated material handling system issues Assist maintenance technicians with routine preventative maintenance tasks on noncritical equipment Ensure full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures and safety standards Perform required policies within the Therapeutic Product Program (TPP) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Troubleshoot and clear minor tote washer faults Additional duties as required Requirements Grade 12 diploma or equivalency Fluent in English written and oral communication Basic computer literacy Qualified to operate a reach truck and walkie Willing to work shift work and overtime when needed Able to lift 50 lbs Knowledge of SAP asset (especially WM/MM, PM and QM notifications) Familiarity with conveyor systems asset Seniority Level Entry level Employment Type Fulltime Job Function Other Industries Pharmaceutical Manufacturing At Apotex, we are committed to fostering a welcoming and accessible work environment, where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported to succeed.
