This transition will create technically advanced roles and partnerships with the Taltan Nation and local communities to deliver long-term benefits.Your ImpactAs Manager, Construction, Block Cave Project, you will play a critical role in delivering one of Canadas most innovative underground mining projects. You will:Oversee safe planning, execution, and completion of construction activities within your area.Drive project performance by managing schedules, budgets, resources, and contractors.Foster a safety-, inclusion-, and operational-excellence culture.Anticipate and manage risks, implementing corrective actions to keep the project on track.Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement across Newmont projects.Your Role within the TeamYou will be part of a collaborative project management group integrating engineering, procurement, operations, and external partners. In this role you will:Provide leadership and mentorship to a diverse construction team to meet project objectives.Partner with EPCMs, consultants, and contractors to align across disciplines.Build transparent communication with senior management and community stakeholders.Support a working environment where team members share ideas and solve problems for long-term success.Requirements for SuccessTo succeed, you will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and project execution skills:A bachelors degree in engineering or related field is desirable; a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is an asset.Extensive experience in heavy industrial construction, with exposure to surface and underground projects.Proven ability to oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and quality assurance.Experience working across owner and contractor environments.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office Suite.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.Work EnvironmentWillingness to work on a fly-in/fly-out rotation (1 week on / 1 week off).
