OverviewASP.NET App Developer, Marketing Stantec. We are seeking a full-stack ASP.NET application developer for a 12-month contract to work on various projects using the .NET framework, including C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and other Microsoft technologies. You will design, develop, test, and maintain web applications that meet the needs of our clients and users. Possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role, based on performance. ResponsibilitiesWork on developing the architecture and improving systems and services across the company, including CRM, project and budget tracking, knowledge portals, and global mapping tools.Validate assumptions, direction, and build (coding, testing/debugging, deployment, and documentation) of new system enhancements and/or applications.Convert business and functional requirements to software code that is efficient, reusable, maintainable, and reliable.Review business requirements and application design to provide forward-looking recommendations.Undertake new marketing projects and/or initiatives as required.Assist in creating electronic marketing and communications materials.Resolve system issues and defects as needed. Capabilities and CredentialsComfortable with creating large and multifaceted solutions in .NET (C# or VB.NET).Back-end development using ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Entity Framework, LINQ, and Web Forms.Front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery. Experience with Angular, React, or Node.js is an asset.Strong design eye and attention to detail. Proficient with CSS3 and HTML5.Experience building mobile-responsive designs; Sass and Less are assets.Ability to refactor and improve code.Knowledge of database design and SQL Server; ability to work with complex queries.Familiar with agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum and Jira.Ability to learn a complex multi-dimensional business structure and adapt to new frameworks and web APIs.Excellent creative problem-solving and debugging skills. Education and ExperiencePost-secondary diploma or degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.At least 3 years of web development experience using .NET technologies. Final compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Some roles at Stantec are bonus eligible.
