BILINGUAL ATS - Professor in Mathematics Position is part-time with an initial appointment of 4 months. Salary will be commensurate with experience per the Academic Teaching Staff Agreement. Work primarily takes place at Campus Saint-Jean, Edmonton. Applicants must be fluent in spoken and written French. Responsibilities Provide instruction to undergraduate and graduate students. Develop the content of assigned courses and design of these courses, including teaching methodology. Ensure reasonable availability for student consultation during and outside of class hours. Contribute to new student orientation activities. Engage in scholarly teaching by staying current and competent in course content and design and instructor performance. Engage in administrative tasks related to teaching. Attend orientations, faculty meetings, course-related meetings, and other teaching-related activities. Submit the course syllabus to the administration within the prescribed deadlines. Submit a report to the Senior Associate Dean at the end of the semester. Other clearly defined teaching activities as applicable, assigned and agreed upon at the time of appointment or during subsequent annual assignments. Teaching Load Course titles and schedules that the successful candidate may be expected to teach include: MATHQ 101 - Calcul lmentaire II: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 09:30 - 10:20. MATHQ 102 - Algbre linaire applique: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 08:30 - 09:20. MATHQ 115 - Calcul lmentaire II: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 11:30 - 12:20. MATHQ 334 - Introduction aux quations diffrentielles: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 10:30 - 11:20. Qualifications Holding a PhD in mathematics or a related field (or equivalent experience). Demonstrated effective and engaging undergraduate teaching ability. Potential or existing active research program with growth prospects. Dedication to student success and mentoring. Initiative, leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills. Proficiency in French and English, especially for understanding university policies.
