Overview Our client, an established oilfield service company located in North Calgary, has an immediate need for a Controller. Working closely with the President, CFO and operational leaders, this individual will oversee day-to-day accounting activities including review and supervision of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring payroll is processed and completed accurately. In addition, this individual will prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, calculate key financial metrics and manage external audits. Your duties as the Controller will include the preparation of internal financial statements following private company reporting standards (ASPE), providing weekly KPI reporting, and working with the operational leaders to achieve and improve profitability and best practices. You will be accountable for cash management, reporting and working with bank covenant reporting on a quarterly and annual basis. Review all payroll entries and verify that government remittances are submitted and completed in a timely manner. With operations in both Canada and the US, experience with FX calculations and reporting is advantageous. As the company continues to grow and expand operations in Western Canada and the United States, you must be comfortable with full-cycle accounting and a hands-on approach.
