About the Position: Lifestyles and Memory Care Manager - Greenview Seniors Residence The Lifestyles and Memory Care Manager plays a vital leadership role in enhancing residents quality of life by overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of meaningful programming that supports the social, physical, intellectual, emotional, vocational, and spiritual well-being of all residentsincluding those in Memory Care. This Manager leads a team and collaborates across departments to create an inclusive, stimulating, and person-centered environment for all residents, regardless of cognitive or physical ability. Key Responsibilities: Develops, oversees, and evaluates programming that supports resident well-being across all domains: social, physical, emotional, cognitive, vocational, and spiritual; Leads and delivers specialized programming for residents in Memory Care, ensuring all activities are dementia-informed and person-centered; Supervises and supports the Lifestyles team, including recreation staff and volunteers, ensuring effective and compassionate delivery of programs; Manages program schedules for both Assisted Living and Memory Care areas, ensuring balanced and appropriate engagement opportunities; Prepares and distributes monthly calendars, newsletters, and communications for residents and families; Oversees the recruitment, training, supervision, and recognition of volunteers; Leads Resident Council and other resident engagement forums as directed by the General Manager; Collaborates with clinical and support teams to ensure programs are adapted to meet the changing needs of residents; Ensures high levels of resident engagement and monitors participation across programs, adjusting offerings accordingly; Maintains a safe, inclusive, and creative program environment for all residents, including those in secure Memory Care environments; Builds and maintains partnerships with community organizations, local businesses, and event vendors to enrich program offerings; Manages the department budget and forecasts expenditures responsibly; Maintains accurate records and reports for programming, resident attendance, and satisfaction; Participates as a member of the sites management team and contributes to strategic planning and continuous improvement; Promotes the residences reputation for excellence in resident experience and quality of life. Qualifications: Minimum of three years' leadership experience in a recreation, wellness, or lifestyle services role within a retirement, long-term care, or healthcare setting; Strong experience working with individuals living with dementia and/or in Memory Care environments; Post-secondary education in recreation therapy, gerontology, social work, or a related field; Previous experience supervising staff and managing departmental budgets; Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills; Proficient in Microsoft Office and other program-planning or reporting tools; Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, team members, and community partners; Current First Aid/CPR certification; Knowledge of the aging process and ability to adapt programs to a wide range of abilities; Creativity, empathy, and a passion for enhancing the lives of older adults; Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
